Dr Akwasi Ahmed is currently the only vitreoretinal surgeon in the Ashanti Region and aspires to prevent retinal blindness in Ghana. After completing his medical degree, business degree, and ophthalmology residency at KNUST, he underwent subspeciatly surgical retina training at the world-renowned Aravind Eye Hospital, is a Consultant at Komfo Anokye, and runs his own successful private practice - Rods and Cones.
Dr Arthur Brant is a physician, scientist, and engineer. He studied computer science at Stanford University, worked at Google as a software engineer for 6 years, and returned to Stanford to complete his medical degree. He serves as a clinical advisor for CureBlindness.org, a consultant for Google Research, and technical lead for Pr3vent blindness. He is currently an Ophthalmology resident at Stanford and is cofounder and CTO of Africa Eye Imaging Centre.
